I focus on workplace law of all types as a partner in the Rochester, New York-based law firm of Trevett Cristo, P.C.

I practice on behalf of public and private employees of all types, union members, and labor unions regarding the spectrum of labor and employment issues, employee benefits and related litigation. I litigate a wide variety of discrimination, harassment and retaliation, wage and hour, contract, collection, duty of fair representation, unfair labor practice charges and ERISA/benefits actions in federal and state administrative proceedings and in trial and appellate courts. I have experience with federal FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), Title VII (anti-discrimination), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), ADEA (Age Discrimination in Employment Act), FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), OWBPA (Older Workers Benefits Protection Act), PDA (Pregnancy Discrimination Act), EPA (Equal Pay Act), and USERRA (Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act) laws, and New York state Public Authorities, Human Rights, Labor, Civil Service, and Workers’ Compensation laws, among others.

I have conducted appeals to the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and N.Y. Appellate Division and Court of Appeals. I have led internal investigations of workplace issues and advised upon risk management leading to appearances at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), New York Division of Human Rights, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Workers Compensation, and unemployment hearings. I also arbitrate disciplinary and contract interpretation grievances under collective bargaining agreements and work to achieve settlement disputes informally through alternative dispute resolution such as negotiation, mediation and arbitration.

My diverse background helps me advocate for clients' goals through creative analysis of issues, incisive problem solving, and empathetic and persuasive communication with all stakeholders in a legal issue or dispute. My wide experience gives me a broad toolkit of skills which I use to efficiently and effectively advocate for the interests of my clients to help them meet their objectives.
